Welcome to the Treasure Valley  IMA CHAPTER WEBSITE!

                  William "Bill" Dempsey

President, Treasure Valley Chapter of IMA

Greeting's everyone. We are proud to have weathered a difficult organizational storm and come back stronger than we were before.  We have a great board of directors and had record attendance at our free CPE technical meetings, which will continue this year.

Our board has focused on continuing to bring value for your membership in the way of education and networking.  Our individual success is solely dependent on ourselves and I have always held the belief that investing in yourself through education and meeting new people will only help in creating a successful career and life.  IMA is one avenue to accomplish this.

As we begin the new program year we ask for your continued participation and hope that you will appreciate the hard work that it takes to plan and organize the program we have put together.  Here are a few highlights:

In these times of change we will have Tresa Ball of HR Precision presenting on Managing Transitions and Interfacing Techniques

We are bringing back Bill Jelen, Mr. Excel, after a two year absence with new material to demonstrate how to use more of Excel’s features and more efficiently

A panel discussion discussing the pro’s and con’s of public vs. private accounting careers will be presented as we continue to foster students and graduates from our local universities.  We will also present our annual IMA scholarships at this meeting.

With the advent of social networking, we will be growing our presence on Facebook, Linked In and as always, our website.  Please make sure that we have your current email address as this is our primary way of communicating any changes to our meeting times or venue.

We hope to see at many of the events and appreciate your participation, feedback and continued membership.

Very Truly Yours,

Bill Dempsey
